Quadratics reward “algebra + graph” thinking. In (y=ax^2+bx+c) and vertex form (y=a(x-h)^2+k), parameters click faster when you drag them than when you memorize a slide.
Three letters in vertex form
- (a): opening direction and width (larger (|a|) → skinnier)
- (h): horizontal shift
- (k): vertical shift
Ask the class first: “What if (h) goes from 0 to 2?” Then check in visualization.
