Interactive Factors, Multiples, GCD, and LCM
Arithmetic. Highlight all factors of n and compute gcd and lcm of two numbers. Free interactive GeoGebra resource — adjust parameters in the browser.
Overview
Factors divide; multiples are divided. gcd × lcm always equals the product — verify interactively.
Explanation
If a divides n, then a is a factor of n and n is a multiple of a.
gcd is the greatest common divisor; lcm is the least common multiple.
Always gcd(n,m)×lcm(n,m)=n×m.
How to use
- Open the factors scene.
- Change n to highlight factors.
- Change m to update gcd and lcm.
- Check that gcd × lcm = n × m.
Practice tip
Try n = 24 and m = 18: list factors by hand, then match highlights.

FAQ
Which grades?
Upper elementary for factors/multiples; middle school for gcd/lcm fluency.
Is this tool free?
Yes. It runs in the browser with no install.
Good for class demos?
Yes — project it and ask what changes when you drag a parameter.
How do I write the formula afterward?
Open the equation editor or symbol sheet and copy a clean expression.
